Contributions are deemed paid You must continue to pay the extra contributions you are contracted to pay as if you were not away from work.
Added Years (buying extra membership) - contract entered into before 1st April 2008 Contributions are deemed paid You must continue to pay the extra contributions set out in the added years contract as if you were not away from work. Where your reserve forces pay is is equal or higher than your normal pay you must pay the extra contributions as if you were not on leave. Where it is less than your normal pay the extra contributions are deemed paid
Additional Regular Contributions (ARCs) - contracts entered into prior to 1st April 2014 Contributions are deemed paid You must continue to pay the extra contributions you are contracted to pay as if you were not away from work. Where your reserve forces pay is is equal or higher than your normal pay you must pay the extra contributions as if you were not on leave. Where it is less than your normal pay the extra contributions are deemed paid
Part-time Buy Back- buying back previous part-time service You must continue to pay the extra pensions contributions set out in the contract as if you were not on leave.
Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) or Shared Cost AVCs These payments may continue. If you are paying AVCs for extra life cover you should arrange to continue with these payments throughout your leave or cover may cease.
Cohabiting Partner's Pension - paying extra for pre 6 April 1988 membership to count Contributions are deemed paid You must continue to pay the extra contributions set out in the contract as if you were not away from work. Where your reserve forces pay is is equal or higher than your normal pay you must pay the extra contributions as if you were not on leave. Where necessary, additional pension contributions can be collected from your pay when you return to work.
